Trust at Fund500

Every organizer must complete identity verification through Stripe Connect Express before they can receive a payout. While verification is pending, the campaign page shows a Verification pending badge, donations are capped at $500 per donation and $5,000 in total, and payouts are held until verification completes.

When the payout account is verified, the badge changes to Payout account verified, the caps lift, and payouts run on schedule. Verification confirms the recipient's payout details. It does not verify the story, the medical claim, or the competition outcome.

We are honest about what we do not check. Specifically:

• We do not verify medical claims, diagnoses, or treatment outcomes.
• We do not verify family relationships, custodial status, or memorial details.
• We do not independently confirm news events.
• We do not verify veterinary diagnoses or animal-care plans.
• We do not verify talent, scholarships, or future competition results.

Donate based on the organizer's account and Fund500's payout-account verification, not on specific promises about outcomes.

Every campaign is reviewed by a Fund500 operator when our risk signals fire. We hold payouts, request information from the organizer, and contact donors when needed.
